GoodGuides at Goodwill Industries

Volunteer at Goodwill by being a GoodGuides Mentor:

Goodwill Industries International received a 24-month grant from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention to provide mentoring to youth, ages 12-17, who are at risk for juvenile delinquency.

The Goodwill GoodGuides Youth Mentoring Program will provide career exploration, mentoring and skill development activities that offer youth encouragement and resources they need to remain in school, improve school performance, and develop career plans.

Each youth will have an Individual Service Plan in which they will identify their personal education and career goals.

Volunteer adult and peer mentors will meet regularly with the youth and will help connect them to resources that will help the young people explore career alternatives.

Please email Bryan for more details.

Help a 12th Grade Student Graduate!

Help us stop the next 800 students from dropping out.

Graduate. It pays. partners match Caring Adults with high school students who need extra support on the road to graduation. In our first two years, we matched 172 students with Caring Adults, and 9 out of 10 of the students advanced to the next grade or graduated.

Please consider becoming a CARING ADULT.

You don't need special skills, you only need:

* a caring heart, a willingness to listen and to treat young people with respect.

* the ability to empathize with your student and help them define and reach their goals.

* a commitment to being there every week.

Just one hour each week for one school year will help one student build a brighter future.
